BIARRITZ, France (Sunday, July 14, 2007) - Jennifer Smith (USA) went one step better than last year and has won the Roxy ASP WWLC. The stylish natutalfooter defeated Justine Dupont (FRA) in the final 11.00 to 9.00, ending the schoolgirl's incredible run.

Smith was a popular winner with her fellow competitors and huge crowd cheering her widely as she exited the water as the new world champion.

"I'm just so stoked."Smith said. "I'd been through this last year and lost at the end so to come here and make the final again, and then win, is just amazing."

Smith also gave credit to her opponent and her amazing run.

"She is an incredible surfer and she's not going anywhere. I'm sure she'll be a major force in the years to come." Smith said.

All there is to do now is celebrate an amazing winner. "I'm going to go out with all the girls in the event and run around, have a heap of fun and party in the streets of Biarritz."
